A native of southern California, Sandra began her career as an artist over 30 years ago. Her journey has taken many interesting twists and turns and she has experimented with many a variety of mediums

For many years, Sandra made her living as a potter living in the West & Southwest. Later, she took a hiatus from the arts and began a career in the healing arts as a Hypnotherapist and personal coach.

Then, in 1998, Sandra came back to art with a newly inspired passion and serenity. She started working with acrylics for the first time in 25 years. “I was like a kid in a candy store”, she laughs. “It was such fun rediscovering the passion, joy and serenity of painting.” That renewed passion infuses all of Sandra’s current work.

Sandra’s paintings tell her story. Her paintings are about the places where she has lived, visited and loved. Her subject matter included years spent living in the West, the Southwest and the Northeast. She also gathers material while on vacation to faraway places like Italy and France.

An artist who prefers to paint outdoors. Sandra can be spotted creating her beautiful canvases all over Maui. From the Iao Valley to the beaches on the South Shore and beyond. Sandra transfers the color, shape and form of her surroundings to canvas and adds a bit of herself into the mix. “When I’m painting, I am inspired,” she says. “I feel complete joy and harmony. I feel peaceful and balanced. It has truly become my life’s passion!”

Harmony is what it’s all about with Sandra. And art is her road to Harmony.
